Liz Hensel Honored as 2024 Marine Corps Spouse of the Year

Every year, the branches of the Armed Forces recognize a spouse for outstanding achievements and dedication to the military community through the Armed Forces Insurance Military Spouse of the Year (MSOY) Program.  

For 2024, Liz Hensel has been named the Marine Corps Spouse of the Year. This accolade celebrates her exceptional dedication and the positive impact she has made within the military community. 

Hensel’s selection reflects her remarkable commitment and leadership, setting a high standard for military spouses. As the Marine Corps Spouse of the Year, she represented the Marine Corps in the competition for the 2024 Armed Forces Insurance MSOY title. This national recognition highlights her role in enhancing the lives of military families and fostering resilience and unity. 

Since its establishment in 2008, the Armed Forces Insurance MSOY program has remained a notable honor for military spouses, acknowledging their vital role in strengthening the readiness and resiliency of military families. Recipients engage in leadership training, connect with other influential military spouses, and work toward meaningful community improvements. The MSOY program not only celebrates individual achievements but also provides valuable opportunities for personal and professional development.
