Testing Services
Voluntary Education offers testing services in the areas of military professional testing, high school equivalency (GED), college proctored testing, career entrance qualification exams, as well as professional certification and licensure testing.
Testing services are available at little to no cost and are designed to support your educational and professional development.

Military Testing
All tests are by appointment only. Service members must register in advance. On the day of the exam, service members must be in the uniform of the day and show their military ID at check-in. For more information or to schedule an appointment, contact the Education Center.
- Armed Forces Classification Test (AFCT)

CLEP and DSST Exams
- College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
CLEP now offers test takers the option to take a CLEP exam with remote proctoring. Each CLEP exam taken with remote proctoring has the same timing, content, format, and on-screen experience as the test you would take at a CLEP test center. You will be proctored remotely by a human proctor. Visit https://clep.collegeboard.org/about-remote-proctoring/take-clep-exam-remote-proctoring for specific information.
- DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST)
DSST does allow remote proctoring of exams for eligible service members. Civilian and non-eligible military test takers cannot take an exam via Remote Proctor. Visit https://www.prometric.com/exams/dantes for specific information.

General Education Diploma (GED)
To schedule an exam date, you must create an account by registering on GED Testing Service and selecting the jurisdiction you are testing under. You can call the GED Testing Service at the following:

GED Study Materials
GED study materials can be found at the local library or online. Here are some of the online resources to get you started.
- Free practice tests and e-books are available from EBSCO Learning Express (DoD MWR Library). Contact your local MCCS library for access code.
- The Online Academic Skills Course (OASC) helps build and refresh basic math and verbal skills. Access to OASC is free for the military community and can be accessed by creating an account at DANTES.
- MyGED® Dashboard: Learn more about the test, policies, and try sample test questions.

SAT and ACT

For both the SAT and ACT you will first need to register and create an account with College Board. Please visit the appropriate websites for information as well as registration deadlines.
Students can request to have their official ACT results sent to the Education Center. Contact the Education Center for the ACT Site Code.

Digital SAT
The SAT can also be taken digitally through SAT Suite College Board. Before you take the digital SAT, you will need to download Bluebook on your device.
