Empowering Marine Families Through Every Challenge

Marine families manage unique challenges—from relocations and deployments to adjusting to new schools and communities.

Resilience is essential, and Marine & Family Programs provide the support needed to stay connected and prepared for change. School Liaison (SL), Child & Youth Programs (CYP), and the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) each play an important role in strengthening families throughout the Marine Corps community.

School Liaison: Supporting Education Transitions
School Liaisons help families navigate school-related challenges during a PCS move. They assist with enrollment, school records, and access to services to reduce academic disruption. SLs also work closely with educators to increase understanding of military life, creating supportive environments that promote student well-being and success.

Child & Youth Programs: Promoting Healthy Development
CYP offers childcare, youth sports, and recreational activities designed to support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children and teens. These structured programs provide safe, encouraging spaces where young people can build confidence, form friendships, and develop skills that help them adapt during times of change.

Exceptional Family Member Program: Coordinated Family Support
EFMP assists families with medical or educational needs through case management, relocation guidance, and resource coordination. This ongoing support ensures dependents receive consistent care, reducing stress and helping families plan for long-term stability.

Together, SL, CYP, and EFMP create a network of support that strengthens family resilience. With the right tools, resources, and community connections, Marine families are empowered to manage challenges and embrace new opportunities with confidence.
